In practice, I think people tend to semantically use 'ethics', 'politics', 'morals', and 'ideology' as synonyms.With maybe a difference in (negative versus positive) connotation.Your politics, my ethics.Your ideology, my morals.Ethics, politics, morals, and ideology are the effort to persuade the realignment of the subjective preferences of others to accommodate one's own.
